We, (Chuck & Sandi Baxter) have been raising top quality Huacaya alpacas since 2006. We currently have 26 alpacas, we usually have 3-4 cria's (offspring) during Spring and Winter. We are located in the beautiful Sonoran Desert in Wittmann, Arizona.
Part of our purpose is to educate people about alpacas. Another part of our ranch is a store located on our property where we sell products that are made from our own alpacas. Our alpacas are raised to produce fiber of the highest quality. We train them to be halter friendly, and we take them to compete in shows.
Alpaca's are indigenous to South America, primarily Peru, Chile, Bolivia. The main purpose of breeding alpaca's is the production of high quality fiber that is extremely soft and hypoallergenic fiber. Alpacas are a wonderful herd animal. They are a very docile, curious animal, and are just plain fun to be around. The noise that they make is a very calming hum.
